I'm a sucker for Filipino food and recently moved to Waipahu, so there is a ton of choices. As soon as I saw the menu at Thelma's I had to try it. I always order dinuguan so I got that with the pork and pumpkin guisado and one order of pancit. They have two big boxes of pancit which was super surprising and it was really good!! The pumpkin in th guisado is perfectly cooked and isn't falling apart but perfectly tender. The pork in this is minimal which I actually liked and the stew was really tasty. I love dinuguan and I also love that a bunch of places make it different. The chunks of meat in it were larger than some other places I have eaten it which I didn't mind but it was way different than the others in presentation the taste was what I have come to expect from good Filipino food on Oahu. Everything was spot on. Can't wait to eat here more!!

Thelma's Restaurant - home of the famous Thelma's Special, the original Lechon Kawali. Thelma's is the top choice if you are craving for Filipino food. They keep their prices low and offer large portions of quality food along with great customer service. Every dish has an authentic flavor, like what Mom used to make but better. It does get busy during the lunch rush hours.

Great Filipino food that never disappoints! My favorite is the Thelma's Special and Adobo Fried Rice. Other favorites are Pork Guisantes, Chicken/Pork Adobo, and their Pancit Bihon. They have great combo options for 2 or 3 choices too. We usually call in our order and the service is fairly quick. Everyone is nice and helpful and it's convenient to do takeout.
